24/7 Care + Benefits Program
We offer free 24 / 7 counseling services by a licensed counselor for immediate issues that may come up. Issues like losing a loved one or stress at work, etc. Using Telehealth for mental health has proven to work better than a traditional clinic visit because the member can speak from the privacy and security of their own home. You can access our mental health counselors at any time, but for more advanced mental health care, like a Psychiatric or Ph.D. Psychologists, we are not offering services at this time.
Yes. All our doctors are licensed physicians and can prescribe most of the usual prescriptions available in a traditional office setting. Some medications might be restricted based on the telemedicine laws in your state, and we prescribe no controlled substances. All prescriptions will be sent to the Pharmacy of your choice. You will also receive a discount from Rx Valet for your prescription which is valid at any pharmacy in the country.
Every Restora Health member is provided with the nation’s best health discount services. All Restora Health members receive a discount card for Dental, Vision, Pharmacy, Labs, Imaging, Durable Medical Equipment, Hearing Aids and Walgreens Walk-in Clinics, 24 / 7 MDLive, 24 / 7 NurseLine, Bill Negotiator, Personal Health Advocate, Mental Health, and even specialist appointment setting. You are provided a Restora Health 24 / 7 Care + Benefits card which will come to you in the mail and which you can begin using immediately. For convenience, Restora Health offers a call-in number (on the card) where staff will direct you for specific needs; whether it be for a dentist or vision care or labs, etc.
You may call or text or email a doctor as many times as you wish – there is no limit to the amount of calls you are allowed. However, once in a great while, we have found a member who has abused the system and we have the right to discontinue the membership if we see a member abusing this right.
Restora Health has physicians on staff who review all of our member’s charts to make sure of your continuity of care. For our members who have chronic diseases, our doctors will directly interact with them. And Restora Health is in contracted with MDLive for the 24 / 7 live doctor access. As well, for any questions to specialists that you may need, or for a second opinion, we have contracted with eDoc America where you can always get an answer from most any type of specialist within 24 hours.
You can call the Medical Concierge or NurseLine team as often as you like. If you have questions on anything medical, such as where to get an MRI or questions about insurance or how to use your Benefits card. We encourage you to use our Medical Concierge Team as often as you wish. If you wish to contact your personal Nurse who knows you, then just call between 8 am and 8 pm Monday through Friday and within 24 hours (and typically the same day) your personal RestoraHealth nurse will call you back.
- This is a highly experienced negotiating unit who know the ins and outs of billing practices, using various benchmarking databases, and work with providers to help employees get discounted prices. They can help sort out and resolve claims and paperwork problems.
- The Bill Saver team negotiates with hospitals, surgery centers, physicians, dentists and other health service providers.
- Employees receive a Savings Result Statement, clearly summarizing the outcome of the negotiation and the applicable terms and conditions of payment to the provider. One hundred percent (100%) of all savings go to the employee. Health Advocate will secure written provider sign-off on the terms and conditions negotiated on the employee’s behalf.
- Successful negotiations offer employees financial relief and teach employees how to use their benefits more wisely. Costs are lowered for both employee and employer and consumer-driven health plans are fully supported, helping to ensure success.

Your Personal Health Advisor helps you understand, coordinate and consolidate care among physicians and medical institutions. Your Health Advisors help find the right physicians for consultations and treatment, arranging appointments and researching questions about diagnosis, treatment and available support systems.
- They support members with rare, serious or complex medical conditions by identifying top medical institutions, critical illness providers and specialized programs across the country, scheduling appointments and researching transportation and lodging when necessary.
- They help members identify primary and specialist physicians, hospitals, dentists and other healthcare providers, so they may utilize their benefits to their best advantage.
- They provide assistance on prescription drug issues, including formulary and benefit questions. They help sort out and resolve claims and related paperwork problems.
- When appropriate, they can assist members who wish to file a complaint, grievance or an appeal with their health insurer or health plan administrator.

RestoraHealth was created for anyone and everyone who is frustrated with the lack of access and control within the health care system that wasn’t working to get you healthier. Even if you have insurance or a Primary Care Provider, but you want more access, better health, control and savings, then RestoraHealth is for you.
Our goal is for all of our members to achieve what we call the ‘5 + 2 Normals’. By achieving the 5 + 2 Normals, you will be 12 years younger and save 33% to 50% on health care costs!
We do this by our ‘Restora Health Plan Process’ that works with you and uses a health coach to achieve these wonderful goals.
All our Physicians are Board-Certified and will give you excellent advice and care via a secure telehealth environment. And we have all specialists available as well or lifestyle-based physicians; i.e., those that understand a vegan or gluten-free diet. But besides the 24 / 7 access of a Board-Certified Physician, you also get a Nurse for Advice and to help set goals and a personal health coach to help you reach your goals (hours are limited).
Restora Health is not health insurance. We are a ‘virtual’ Direct Primary Care practice. And we call ourselves ‘Proactive’ because we are a Primary Care practice that works to make you healthier with your Personal Health Plan and your own health coach. We are ‘Virtual’, in that we have no clinic for you to walk in to. Your home or any location with your phone, PC, or tablet is our office – now, isn’t that nice? If you are healthy, then about 90% of all medical care you need can be done over the phone, PC, or tablet. Many people use Restora Health in conjunction with their health insurance, and even if they have an existing Primary Care Provider (but can never find the time to see him or her), but since we operate like a DPC (Direct Primary Care) practice, we do not bill insurance (but we will help you weed through the jungle of insurance paperwork with our Medical Concierge service).
In regards to insurance, we do offer very affordable Indemnity Insurance through licensed agents as a separate item from the Restora Health Program, and we do highly recommend Health Sharing as an amazing alternative to the high-cost of traditional health insurance options, of which these same agents can help you with that as well.
Not much. In fact, you only ‘NEED’ a phone. It can even be an old-fashioned, wall-secured, corded phone. But you will have the best experience if you have a smart-phone, or tablet, or PC. Sometimes, you may want a rash evaluated or the doctor may just want to see ‘how you look’ and so being able to see you is a good thing. As well, you may want to go to your local Walgreens and purchase an automated blood pressure cuff, a pulse oximeter, and a thermometer. This may help us when you call in.
Primary Care is the broadest of all medical categories. In our definition, it means a trusting relationship with your medical team to get you healthy, keep you healthy, and steer you in the right direction to the right specialists or tests in case you need more specialized care.
A lot of good primary care is communication and education. Our health goal is to get you to the 5 + 2 Normals of good health within 365 days:
- Normal blood pressure
- Normal blood sugar
- Normal triglycerides
- Normal weight
- No Tobacco (which is a ‘Normal‘)
and (the + 2)
- Manage your stress
- Reduce / Eliminate Inflammation
By doing this, you can avoid about 85% of all diseases in America today, and eliminate 33% to 66% of all current and future health costs. Not only that, but if you achieve the 5 + 2 Normals, you will look and feel great, have more energy and BE IN CONTROL of your life. Achieving the 5 + 2 Normals offers hope and happiness!
We are your advocate to good health and wellness. If you have questions or concerns, our model is set up for you to get an answer right away – within 24 hours at the longest. We want you to be in control, to be in the best health of your life, and to be the best you possibly can be.
Some insurance companies do cover and some do not. You will have to contact your insurance company to see what is and what is not covered, but typically, insurance companies do not cover monthly membership fees for medical services.
Restora Health is only $49.95 per month for twelve months for a single person plus an annual enrollment fee of $50. A couple is only $79.95 per month plus enrollment fee of $100 and a family of any size is just $99.95 per month and a $45 enrollment fee (yes, you could have 10 children!) fee for everyone over 18.
Single moms and their children are all covered and all priced as a single person, even if you have 4 children!
All memberships include unlimited text messaging, 24 / 7 same-day phone call appointments, and NurseLine call and same-day video chat appointments, plus a Health Assessment Profile, Health Goal setting, a Personal Health Plan, Health coaching, Medical Concierge services, Medical Bill Paying Service, Mental Health Counselor, Medical Advice and Triage services, and medical discount cards for Dental, Vision, Pharmacy, Labs, Imaging, Durable Medical Equipment, Hearing Aids, and Walgreens Walk-in Clinics.
- Individual is just $49.95 plus one time $50 enrollment fee
- Single moms are $49.95 plus $50 enrollment fee but all children are included for free.
- Couples are just $79.95 plus one time $100 enrollment fee
- Families (unlimited size) is just $99.95 a month plus enrollment fee of $45 for everyone over 18 years.
The $50 enrollment fee covers an on-line lifestyle and health assessment, and an initial encounter with a Registered Nurse, a review of your records by a Doctor or Physician Assistant, and then the compilation of your Personal Health Plan, which is an exhaustive individualized plan based on the Health Assessment Profile and labs you provided (labs fees extra – see FAQs section on Are Labs Covered?).
This also sets your health goals for you and assigns you a health coach. Beyond this, if you so choose, there are additional fees to access additional health coaching sessions or our Chronic Disease Management Team. This can be discussed with your Nurse if you think this applies to you. However, over 90% of our members need no additional services.
Some of our members have insurance that covers labs and some members do not. Therefore, to alleviate separate, and confusing, pricing structures, we lowered our enrollment fee and ask all members to either have new base labs drawn, or provide us with the results of their base labs if they have been drawn in the last 9 months. The base labs we rely on at Restora Health are: CBC (Complete Blood Count), CMP (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel), or Chemistry Panel, Lipid Profile (Cholesterol), and CRP (C-Reactive Protein). We are contracted with Quest labs and these labs run about $65 – our member services staff person will schedule that blood draw for you.
It is not required for the 24 / 7 Care + Benefits program, but Yes it is required for the Optimal Health program. The reason for this is to maintain your ‘Continuity of Care’ and to get you to the 5 + 2 Normals. We are set up to get you healthy, get you younger, and keep you healthy. One can’t do that if you are in and out of membership every few months. Our model is set up so that you are known by our health team. Every member has a team of 3 nurses and a Physician Assistant that directly work with you. Our in-house Medical Doctor also reviews your information and makes recommendations. We use MDLive 24 / 7 Physician Services more as a technician to write needed scripts and lab or imaging orders and to take care of any immediate needs you may have. Your Primary Care is managed by you, and your Nursing team and our other health professionals (Docs and PA’s). This is how we keep our prices so low and give you all the time you need.
Your monthly membership allows you four coaching sessions per year. Typically, we find a health coach is used right away after your goals are set and then maybe twice in the next two months, then whenever you want to schedule the remaining session. But you have access to your coach via e-mail and log-in capabilities as often as you like.
Many members realize what the studies prove: A health coach will help you achieve your goals faster. So, Yes, you can schedule as many sessions as you feel you need beyond the four you receive with your membership, and you will be charged a non-refundable fee of $40 per session that is paid up-front.
Yes. In most cases, the monthly membership fee can be reimbursed by flexible spending accounts (FSAs), medical savings accounts (MSAs), health reimbursement accounts (HRAs), and health savings accounts (HSAs). If requested, RestoraHealth will provide you with a statement of services to present to your benefits administrator as reimbursement may be sought through the FSA claim submission process. Please note that the fee cannot be paid using an FSA debit or credit card (you will have to manually submit your claim).
We are very similar to a clinical Direct Primary Care practice, but we are over the smart-phone, tablet, or PC. Most traditional concierge doctors charge between $2,000 and $5,000 per year and are set up to see patients in-person at their office. RestoraHealth is much more affordable and our RestoraHealth staff members are fully-geared to efficiently communicate with patients via phone, text, and video chat. Also, our RestoraHealth Medical Concierge team works with you to choose the right doctor that is specifically suited to you and your specific need – and it may be the same doctor you have seen before.
Over 80% of disease is caused by poor lifestyle habits (and some say over 90%). Studies have proven that using certified health coaches improves health, achieves goals, and significantly reduces medical costs. Our Certified Health Coach’s focus is on your lifestyle habits and works with you to help you achieve your goals and our goals around the 5 + 2 Normals, and alter your ‘bad habits’ so that you are more fully in control of your life and your costs. Our goals are to keep you off medications if you are not on any, and to get you so healthy that you can get off medications if you are on any.
At Restora Health, our goal is to get everyone to the 5 + 2 Normals. These are from Dr. Michael Roizen who came up with these and proved that if one achieves the 5 + 2 Normals, then they will be 12 years younger (than those who don’t have them), and will save 33% to 66% on current and future health care costs.
Here are the “5 Normals”:
- Blood pressure below 125 / 85
- LDL Cholesterol below 130 without CVD (cardiovascular disease) and below 100 if you do have CVD
- Hemoglobin A1C below 5.7 or Fasting blood glucose below 106
- BMI below 30 or Waist to Height Ratio of less than 0.5
- Zero level of Cotenine in Urine – i.e., No evidence of tobacco
And the “+ 2” is to
1) Manage Stress and,
2) Reduce / Eliminate Inflammation. (C-RP < 1.0) We all have stress, but how you manage it is very important as it is the second leading risk of a heart attack (an MI). And inflammation is the precursor to most all diseases. A blood test called C-Reactive Protein can measure stress under the right conditions, but it can also show up as a false positive. The C-RP test is relatively expensive as well, and so we work with our members to use diet, exercise and some supplements to reduce or eliminate inflammation instead of spending the money on an expensive test. By achieving the 5 Normals and managing your stress and reducing or eliminating inflammation (the + 2), you will be in control of your life, your health, and your costs. In good health, you find your greatest wealth.
Of course. The entire RestoraHealth IT and Tele-platform is secure and HIPAA compliant (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) so all of your communications with the RestoraHealth staff and any subcontracted staff of New Benefits and MDLive are also HIPAA compliant and secure. As well, all your conversations with any RestoraHealth staff or the teams of MDLive or New Benefits staff are completely confidential. We take extraordinary means to assure your security and privacy.
Your Continuity of Care is very important to us at RestoraHealth, and that is why you will have the same nurse(s) assigned to you. Each member will have three Nurses assigned to that member so that you will have a team approach to your care and health goals and so that one is always available to you and will know all about your care. We find that Nurses can give more time to you than a doctor and will be able to do more research and find the right physician for your care. If you need research done by a Physician, you simply e-mail a specialist on our eDoc America link (found in member benefits site) and you will have an answer in 24 hours or less.
Those on-demand doctor services are generally not setup to allow patients to form long-lasting relationships like you form with the staff of RestoraHealth. With those services, you have no coach, you cannot pick your doctor, there is no ‘staff doctor’ or ‘staff Physician Assistant’ and no ‘staff nurse’, and you have no Medical Concierge Advice Team Nurse that you have as a member with RestoraHealth. Typically, when you use an on-demand doctor app you are paired with a random doctor who does not know you or your medical history. In contrast, with RestoraHealth, you are always connected with the same nurse or nurses who really knows you and the specific issues that are relevant to your care and can find the right (perhaps the same) doctor for you as well as your health coach.
We use an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system called Charm and you will have access to all your records via their personal and secure portal. You will be given your own log-in access on your initial encounter when you first join.
Our Restora Health doctor is yours, but you will not always have access to that doctors. If you call the MDLive 24 / 7 doctor, then perhaps you can have the same doctor. You have the ability to ‘select’ the doctor you wish to visit with. Your schedule will depend upon who you see. Because we want YOU to be in control of your access, we do not assign one doctor to you. You can always see a doctor 24 / 7 and if you are requesting a specific doctor, then you may have to wait until that doctor is available. More importantly however, is that you will have the same Nursing team to work with you to maintain your Continuity of Care.
All visits with any of our doctors is completely through secure text, phone, and video-chat. If, for whatever reason, you need to be seen in person by a Provider, you will be directed by our Medical Concierge team to a proper specialist, or you will be referred to a Walgreens Walk-in Clinic where we have contracted services at a discount for you. One of our Medical Concierge Nurses will then communicate with the provider that examined you and will carefully go over all the details with you. If lab tests are needed, you will be directed to a local Quest testing facility where we have discounted services for you.
Various Health Scenarios
Our hope and goal is that because you have joined Restora Health, and that you are working toward the 6 + 1 Normals, that you can avoid any critical illness. However, we cannot guarantee that, and so some will get a critical illness like Cancer. Restora Health is not insurance and does not participate in any bill paying services. Your bills for treatment of any critical illness will have to be paid to the hospital by either traditional insurance, health sharing, indemnity (critical illness) insurance, or out of your own pocket.
Restora Health’s Bill Payer Service can help you consolidate your bills, make sense of them, and even negotiate lower fees and rates sometimes, for you, but we do not participate in any bill paying.
After you are home from the hospital, Restora Health can help you manage your recovery with our Doctors, Physician Assistants, Nurses, and Wellness coaches. In fact, studies show that patients that use Telehealth after coming home from a hospital reduces readmission to a hospital by about 40%. So we will be with you when you are back home to help you recover and stay out of the hospital.
If you think you have a medical emergency, then waste no time and Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Later, call us and tell us of your emergency, and we will help oversee and monitor your post emergency department care and help you with the myriad of bills you will probably receive. We may even be able to negotiate better rates and fees that you get (no promises). And remember, too, that Restora Health is not insurance and does not cover emergency room visits.
We hope and pray that you never have a serious accident. It is important to understand that Restora Health is not insurance. Just like your Primary Care Doctor is not insurance, we are the same way. We are 24 / 7 Proactive Primary Care, but virtual through your smart phone, tablet or pc. So if you have a serious accident, you will need to go to the hospital. Your bills to the hospital can be consolidated and negotiated by our Bill Payer Service, but the bills will have to be paid by either traditional health insurance, health sharing, indemnity (accident) insurance, or out of your own pocket. Restora Health is not insurance and does not participate in any bill paying.
If the flu is caught early enough, then simple home care is sufficient. With Restora Health and our 24 / 7 Access to a doctor, if you are feeling flu symptoms, then call us right away and you may be able to avoid a trip to the hospital.
For any serious injury, your best bet is to go to the Emergency Department of your closest hospital. Restora Health, or any Telehealth service, is not geared to treat emergencies or accidents. And Restora Health is not insurance, and so we would not participate in any bill paying assistance. Our Bill Payer Service, however, will collect, consolidate, and even negotiate lower fees from all your bills, but the payment will have to come from traditional health insurance, health sharing, indemnity (accident) insurance, or out of your own pocket.
